Introducing FinChat V4
A simpler, cleaner look
The FinChat team is extremely excited to bring you FinChat v4. We have pushed over 5,000 improvements in the code base to make this happen.
As the FinChat feature set has expanded greatly since our first version into the complete research platform it is today, we have built a beautiful new design system that will help us scale.
We 100% understand that there may be some changes that you are not familiar with, but the core of the UI remains true. We believe you will appreciate design decisions after becoming more familiar with the new interface.
With these changes, FinChat on your mobile phone is finally now both approachable and powerful.
This morning, the team at FinChat officially launched V4 which includes:
A Completely Redesigned Mobile Layout📱
Custom Dates for Charting 📅
A clean interface that scales without sacrificing power 📈
Interface Changes
There are just two interface changes that you should be aware of when interacting with FinChat v4.
1) Tabs at the Bottom: Pre-saved tabs are now at the bottom of every page. This is leaning on good ol’ Excel. This will be a tab format you are familiar with in spreadsheets. If you’re looking for your different pre-saved lists look at the bottom of your page and find your tabs there.
2) Dropdown Menus: Nested tabs (tabs on tabs on tabs) were becoming unwieldy. We have thrown your “options” within certain pages in Analysis inside of dropdown panels to select which path you want to go down.
Mobile Redesign:
For all the investors out there that love to use their phones, we’ve made some major upgrades that you’re going to like.
Instead of having dozens of scattered buttons across the platform, FinChat V4 cleans up the mobile interface by including dropdown menus and expandable toggle selectors to make the site easier to navigate.
Custom Dates
You asked for it, so we built it.
One of our most heavily requested features from active users was for a customizable date selector.
Now, within our charting feature, you can easily select the starting and ending date that you want to look for.
While many of the V4 design improvements may seem subtle, having design uniformity across the platform will make the FinChat user experience consistent as the platform continues to scale and ship new features.
Less is more on the interface for new users and power users alike without compromising power and performance.
